About
13 years ago, a group of ladies had a dream to cover every camper who came to Flying Horse Farms with a quilt to use during their stay and then take it home. That dream has come true with over 6500 quilts and over 5700 pillowcases worth over $2 million donated to Flying Horse Farms. Our primary recipients have been and will continue to be children and families affected by serious illnesses who come to Flying Horse Farms. We had no idea that it would grow into what it is today or how far reaching it has become. This dream has far exceeded our expectations.
Snuggled in Hope Quilts has been richly blessed with gifts from near and far. The greatest gift is the gift of time that over 500 volunteers commit to the Snuggled in Hope Quilts’ mission. One generous donor has allowed us temporary space to store the gifts of fabric, materials and completed inventory. Numerous donors provide fabric, materials, and supplies. Snuggled in Hope Quilts has stepped out on faith and is currently leasing ½ of a community building to house their constantly growing inventory of fabric, supplies and quilting equipment.
There are 5 sewing days each month in the State of Ohio where groups of volunteers gather to work on quilts that will be used to dress the beds at the Flying Horse Farms Camp in Mt. Gilead, OH.
Snuggled in Hope Quilts relies solely on donations to fund their mission. They held their first Quilt Bingo event on Saturday, October 4th in Fredericktown, OH. Over 200 guests came to play Bingo with a chance to win a custom and thoughtfully made quilt. This was a fund raising event to help cover the costs of batting and materials needed to continue their mission. They have never attempted an event of this magnitude. There were over 30 volunteers that helped to make this event a success.
