DERBY DAY!  Grab your friends and come celebrate the Kentucky Derby with the Morrow County Chamber of Commerce.  We will have dinner, drinks, horse racing and more.  

DERBY DAY! Night At The Races 2026 is a fun exciting time with friends. We will have actual horse races on a projection screen for you to bet on.  An announcer will be running the event who will make sure the owner of each horse is mention several times.  This helps when you are cheering on your horse.  Horse Ownership and naming rights to the horses in the first 10 races of the event are sold before night of event.  Winning owners are presented with a commemorative trophy.  

There will be horse betting windows to accept the horse bets.  All bets are $2 

There are two types of bets that can be made on each race.  Win bets and Perfecta bets.  Payoffs will be determined by the number of people that correctly select the winning horse or perfecta combination.  Typically winning bets return $5-$15 depending on the number of successful selections.     Winning perfecta bets pay a minimum of $25 but the prize will grow if no one selects the winning perfecta combination.  The perfecta prize pool will grow if there is no winner and we will "roll over" the perfecta prize pool into the following race until we get a winner.  It is not uncommon to have a winning perfecta payout over $200 when a mutl-race perfecta carryover occurs. 

The last race of the night will have empty names for the horses and owners at the start of the evening.  During the evening the ownership of the horses in the auction race will be auctioned off to the highest bidder in the room.  Winning owners will name their horse and select their "post position" 

Once all 10 horses have been sold, the money raised from these 10 auctions will be split evenly. 50% to the Chamber Scholarship fund and 50% will be paid to the owner of the winning horse in the auction race. 

We will 50/50 and side boards as well.
